You will notice that some of the versions of programs on the CD and in the book don’t match. This is because the book was finished before the CD, and in an effort to keep things as up-to-date as possible, newer versions of software were added as they became available.
In every case but three, the updates are minor ones—bug fixes and the like. So the descriptions in the book are still accurate. There are some slight differences, but nothing that should cause major stumbles.
However, Font Clerk, PowerLaunch, and Timer have had major upgrades that add significant features and/or change the interface substantially. These new versions as well as the older versions described in the text of the book are included on the CD.

Please contact the software authors if you have questions about the programs on the CD. Peachpit Press, as nice as they are, will not be able to help you with technical questions.
